Tea Party Hobbits

Elitist RINO John McCain on the Senate floor this past week called those of us who believe in the fight to secure a balanced budget amendment and entitlement reforms, “Tea Party Hobbits.” McCain said we thought we “could return to Middle Earth having defeated Mordor.” Who the hell does this guy think he is? Is this all a joke to him?
We have 9.2% unemployed with millions of others living in fear of losing their jobs. Our economy is in such dire straits from out of control spending and printing paper money out of fairy dust that the IMF recently issued a report on a possible replacement for the U.S. dollar as the world’s reserve currency.

This raise in the debt ceiling fiasco has been a great excuse for the news media to ignore the Obama Administration’s sale of weapons to Mexican drug cartels, resulting in the murder of at least one U. S. Border Agent and countless other men, women and children. Over 1,700 guns sold illegally, some to known felons, in 15 months. Operation Fast and Furious was a deliberate strategy and violation of the law in an attempt by our government to blame cartel gun violence on Unites States gun stores. According to House Committee Chairman Darrell Issa, Attorney General Eric Holder is stonewalling the investigation. Operation Fast and Furious makes Nixon’s Watergate pale by comparison. Yet, the media (other than Fox News) and our politicians bury this story with yet another “the world is coming to an end” trumped up crisis. Yes, we needed to address the debt ceiling. Did we have to do it by August 2nd? No, we didn’t.

Moody’s Investors Service announced Friday that while a rise in the debt ceiling was necessary, it “would not put the nation’s AAA credit rating back on solid footing.” Our problem is spending, not revenue. We need to get government off the backs of businesses small and large so they can feel safe to start hiring. We could dramatically increase revenue by seriously shrinking government, restraining the EPA and adopting reasonable tax laws. We can’t have General Electric and 49% of the people not paying any income tax. If this makes me a Hobbit to John McCain, so be it.

To the 22 who voted “no” after Boehner commanded you all to “get your ass in line,” I salute you. Please get the list of 22; print it out and support these people in 2012. To others who fought the good fight as long as you could, I truly appreciate the effort. I am on the side of the millions like Rush Limbaugh who felt we should have never given up. Still, I respect those who did their personal best. When people of integrity like Laura Ingram, Thomas Sowell and Allen West supported the Boehner Bill Part 2, I will respectfully agree to disagree.

Speaking of Rep. Allen West, he would never have voted for a bill because of a threat by Boehner or anyone else. He would do what he considered the right thing in spite of the threat. West stated he wanted Cut, Cap and Balance, which passed the House. They should have stood firm. We are all being played and the time draws near to end this game.
