At War with RINOS

At War with RINOS

No, I am not talking about the rotund beauties at the zoo or wilds of Africa. This is about Republicans in Name Only.

People who are superficially aware of The Tea Party Patriots, think that we are only "anti-Obama administration". No one can pretend to speak for all of the numerous Tea Party groups around the nation, let alone our (15 million or so) members. But the following is fundamental to all of us. We believe in fiscal responsibility, limited government, free markets, respect for our Constitution and Bill of Rights and a government that answers to the people. Does this reflect the Obama Administration? Of course not. It also does not reflect the true positions of Newt Gingrich, Senator Graham, Senator McCain, Senator Snowe and many other Republicans. No reasonable person could possibly believe these RINOS promote small government and fiscal responsibility.

On November 3rd, a special election will be held in New York's 23rd District to replace the Republican that was appointed Secretary of the Army by President Obama. This is a very strong Republican district. Yet, the GOP selected a candidate (no primary) that is pro-card check, pro-ACORN, pro-high taxes, was for the stimulus package and was the 2008 Margaret Sanger Award Winner (Planned Parenthood’s Highest Honor).. Her name is Dede Scozzafava. Her Republican values are as dear to her as those held by Arlen Specter. The Republican National Committie and Newt Gingrich support Ms. Scozzafava. Why? Because, they put the Republican Party before the will of the people.

Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin and many conservatives across the nation support Doug Hoffman, an Independent.

The Democrat now has a slight lead over Scozzafava, who has a slight lead over Hoffman. So, why support Hoffman? Because electing Scozzafava is electing someone way left of blue dog Democrats. It would continue the diminishing of conservative representation in Washington. Hoffman is coming on fast and may actually win. He has a good chance. Regardless, the tremendous support now being given to a true conservative sends a clear message to the RNC. We conservatives have absolutely had it with RINOS. We want conservative candidates in 2010. We do not want a radical leftist like Scozzafava or “liberal lights” such as McCain or Graham. I for one will not give a single dime to the RNC until they stop promoting RINOS for office.

Treaty in Copenhagen

Al Gore has become a very wealthy man over the past 8 years promoting a hoax, man-made global warming. Even some reasonable people believe in global warming with the caveat that it may not be a result of anything we humans have done (cow flatulence perhaps?). Bill O’Reilly is among this group. It escapes me how these people justify their position when according to the National Climatic Data Centre, the earth’s hottest recorded year was 1998. NASA claims it was 1934. Keep in mind, by the earth’s calendar; we started recording temperatures about 5 seconds ago. 1998 or 1934, whichever; the point is that while Gore, Michael Moore, GE, and hundreds of other individuals and Corporations are raking in obscene amounts of dollars and exposing us to a plethora of “Green” feel good schemes and lost jobs, the weather is actually getting cooler. Weather is cyclic. That’s all there is to it. Weather is cyclic.
The “Health Care Bill” is not about health care. It is about the government taking control of 1/6th of the U. S. economy and the power over our lives that comes with that. Global Warming is not about global warming; it is about a one world order and a redistribution of wealth.
After viewing Christopher Monckton’s speech of October 14 at St. Paul MN, I began feeling overwhelmed. The Obama administration and the liberals in power are throwing everything at us at once. The 1960’s hippies and the younger socialist graduates from elite universities (oops, redundant, I already listed Obama) view this as a unique moment in history. They can now make change happen that they believe in.
Well maybe and maybe not.
We the people still have the power. If we don’t use that power and do it now, we will lose it. Tragically, if we allow the power of the people to slip away, if we are passive and just let it happen, (because after all, what can one person do?), then our children will have to take back the republic and it will be horrific. Once lost, it won’t come back at the ballot box. Right this minute, the Obama administration is trying to shut down all opposition, Fox News, Glenn Beck, the fairness doctrine, there is no limit. They want domination over all forms of communication. Complacency is not an option if we truly want to avoid a repeat of April 1861.
As we may recall from our high school civics class (back when schools actually taught such things), it is Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution that gives the Senate the exclusive right to provide “advise and consent” to the president on treaties and nominations. It requires two thirds of the Senate to ratify a treaty. The Constitution gives the Senate the power to approve treaties negotiated by the executive branch. Technically, the Senate takes up a “resolution of ratification,” by which the Senate formally gives its advice and consent.

A treaty is only made a part of the municipal law of a nation when the treaty has been ratified. Once ratified, the state has bound itself to public international law. We can’t un-ring the bell. Just to make sure, I phoned Senator Feinstein’s office and Representative McClintock’s office in Washington. Staff for both assured me that international law could not enforce a treaty signed by a U. S. President without ratification by 2/3 of the U. S. Senate.
I would be very surprised if President Obama does not pay for his 2009 Nobel Prize by signing away our sovereignty in Copenhagen this December. His left wing supports want him to do this. A stronger United Nations and a weaker United States makes the world a better place in their view. We must stop forcing our will on other nations. We must redistribute the wealth.
So, how about the Senate? Would they go along with giving away our sovereignty? Certainly some would do so gladly, but 2/3 of them? The chairman of the U. S. Senate’s environment committee said this week that it’s possible Congress will pass a bill aimed at slowing global warming even before international talks in Copenhagen in December. Senator Boxer supports signing the global treaty. She met with U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and conveyed her support. Ban has made the new climate treaty a top priority. Senator John Kerry is on board with it.
We need to talk to our friends, neighbors, work colleagues and family members. We must unite and shout as one “STOP”! Write letters to the editor of your local paper, join or form a Tea Party Patriots group, call you representative in Washington, picket their local offices and demand to be heard. Right NOW make a commitment that you will not let our freedom be taken away. Protest as long as loud it takes. Do this so your children and grandchildren will not have to bleed to bring back the Republic that we let slip away.

Ammunition AB962

Ammunition AB962

I have read all 8 pages of AB 962 Assembly Bill Analysis. Did you know that this Bill was being signed into law by Governor Schwarzenegger? I didn’t until it was history.

I have to say that while I wish it had never been written, let alone passed into law, I just don’t see it as a big deal. We can always worry about the preverbal slippery slope, but it isn’t as if we don’t have enough on our plates to address.
To me, other than being a hassle to those retailers who sell ammunition and especially to those consumers who require specialty ammunition, this is not high on the list of lost freedoms.

It basically requires “face-to-face” sale of hand gun ammunition of more than 50 rounds in any given month with exemptions for law enforcement, family members, spouses, etc. Yes, they will have a record of your purchase, as if they don’t already.

I see this as another “feel good” liberal idea that adds cost to business with zero possibility of accomplishing the intended goal of reducing handgun violence. It has already been tried in other states and did not prove worthwhile.

Rush Limbaugh

Limbaugh Unfit for the NFL?

Rush Limbaugh has power far beyond that which the vast majority of U.S. citizens will ever truly comprehend, let alone possess. This power comes from having tremendous wealth uniquely combined with a national voice being heard by perhaps 20 million people 5 times a week. Yet, even he is not immune to the harm that a corrupt “main-stream” media can perpetrate. Corrupt in that they have an agenda, a mission to be more accurate. The mission is to debase any conservative. It isn’t just Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin that they incessantly attack. Are you a conservative black American or a Tea Party Patriot member? Did you happen to get out on the right side of your bed this morning? If so, your time is coming.

Obama's Dream Team

I recently had lunch with an old friend who owns a commercial/light industrial painting firm. He said his business is off 50% and he is down from 80 guys to 30. Unfortunately, this is a story I have heard all too often in 2009.

The socialist plan to kill as many jobs as possible and make as many people as possible dependent on the government is working to perfection.

Obama said in 2008 that he could be judged by the people who he has surrounding him. Yet another Marxist has joined that group, Robert McChesney. McChesney was a founder of Free Press a self described Marxist group/publication. Van Jones is on the board of Free Press. Julius Genachowski, the chairman of the FCC has appointed Jen Howard his press secretary. Jen was formerly a spokeswoman for Free Press. Gee, what a weird set of coincidences.

McChesney shares a very distorted view of the first amendment for free speech. He agrees with Mark Lloyd, Obama's Chief Diversity Officer, that the role model is Hugo Chavez of Venezuela. He openly admires the way Chavez has shut down all open opposition in the media.

Now, the Obama administration has appointed Anita Hill as their spokesperson assigned to monitoring FOX News for distortions and inaccuracies. There is something inherently perverse and a little scary about this scenario. Ms. Hill recently volunteered that Chairman Mao was one of her two favorite philosopher; Mao, who is widely acclaimed as the largest mass murder in history, worse even than Hitler or Stalin. Ms. Hill fits right in with the rest of the group surrounding President Obama.

I am afraid we are very close to the point of no return. I hope all those who voted for change open their eyes to what Obama meant when he said, "We are 5 days away from fundamentally changing the United States of America."

U.N. Lost

Surely I am not in the minority when I say I am tired of the political correctness, white guilt, ignorance and outright deceit that systematically weakens the United States.
A rare exception took place in Washington recently when Congressman Rogers from Michigan spoke. He voiced the truth with no vitriol. This made his remarks all the more poignant. Do America a favor and spend 3 minutes watching it. What Congressman Rogers speaks about so directly, will impact your life. It already has. Click on:

For decades, politicians have worked insidiously towards weakening the United States and becoming a part of a One World Order. At last they found their perfect storm, a liberal controlled congress and senate with a “re-distribution of wealth” charismatic President.

It doesn’t take a genius to know that we need energy independence. The United States cannot allow itself to be held hostage to foreign countries, most of who would like to see us either destroyed or at least severely weakened. The people have spoken. Drill here! Drill now! Build safe and clean nuclear facilities. Yet, it never happens. A few environmental terrorist and a few politicians in leadership positions block all attempts for energy independence. Some of these people are genuinely misguided but most have a different agenda. It is called One World Order. It is called weakening the United States.

The Cap & Trade bill (passed by the House without being read) and/or the Health Care bill would destroy the nation’s economy. Hundreds of thousands more jobs would be lost. This is a good thing if you desire crisis and chaos (Mr. Emanuel). The government will have so much control over our lives that the WWII generation would not recognize this country.

Understand this. The Obama administration will do everything in their power to sign treaties and turn over our sovereignty to the United Nations. Just one example: During her Senate confirmation Hilary Clinton said that ratification of the U.N. Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST) is a priority. So what, you ask? If the United States signs this treaty, it would grant the U.N. total control regarding rite of passage and commercial use of what was for centuries international waters. The U.N. would have the authority to ban any military ships on or under the oceans. They could even choose which planes would be allowed to fly over the oceans and when.
The leftist knew exactly what they were doing when they awarded the Nobel Peace Prize to President Obama. He is their guy. He does not believe the United States is (or should be) exceptional. Unless “We the People” wake up and act forcefully and soon, President Obama will see to it that his vision stated so clearly just before taking office comes true. To quote, “We are 5 days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.”

9-12 March on DC

The news media wants to downplay the 9-12 March on Washington by saying there were 10's of thousands of protesters. That is outlandish. Home Land Security and a group at U. of Illinois trained in crowd estimates based on overhead photography independently came up with 1.2 million. Some groups with bias on the other side gave estimates of 1.7 to 2.0 million. I have been to 6 World Series games and know full well what a crowd of 10's of thousands looks like. The 9-12 March was NOT 10's of thousands. Oh, don't be fooled by pictures taken from the Capitol looking west to the Washington Monument. We were not allowed on the grass of the Mall. They claimed it was reserved, but no one used it. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind why we were not allowed on the Mall (grassy area between the Capitol and the Washington Monument). It is so when people look at photos of the scene, which is what is normally used for giant crowds (Martin Luther King speech, inaugurations, etc.), they will see no protesters there. It gives the illusion that the crowd, while somewhat significant (10's of thousands), was not one of the largest in DC history. In fact, some news media showed side by side photos to get this point across. Had we been allowed on the Mall, we most certainly would have filled it all the way to the Washington Monument (about a mile). Instead, we filled the streets on both sides running parallel to the Mall (one a 4-lane and the other a 6-lane) all the way to the Washington Monument. Also, what you don't see in those photos are the hundred thousand or so people on the north and south sides of the Capitol steps.

The March was scheduled to begin at 11AM so we planned to arrive at 10:30. We were two blocks north of Pennsylvania Ave. and had to walk west to get to the street where we would turn south direct to Freedom Plaza. At the first intersection, we glanced to our left and saw nothing but people totally filling Pennsylvania Ave intersection marching east toward the Capitol. Our hearts soared. We had both quietly been concerned that "We the people" would not show up in significant numbers. We began walking as fast as we could to Freedom Plaza.

When we got there, it was like a great sorrow had been lifted. The joy and pride I can't really describe. Think of how sad you were on 9-11 2001. This was the polar opposite. Looking east, there was an ocean of people already marching, block after block after block of them. The Plaza was overflowing and from every direction as people were rushing to join the March. It was like a dam breaking in multiple spots with people flooding in to be a part of history.

We did not leave until it concluded at 4 PM. There was not one arrest. No burning police cars, no broken storefront windows, and American flags were held high, not burned. There were chants of "USA USA" and "Can you hear us now." Hundreds of thousands of people singing God Bless America as we approached the Capitol. In all that time, I never heard a single person ask about religion, or political party affiliation. Race and gender did not matter. In fact, what everyone asked of each other was, "Where are you from." We were all so very thankful that the other person came to make a difference. Some came even though it was a serious burden financially. People came from all 50 states, some were in wheelchairs others pushed strollers.

On this day, all 1.2 million people came together to stand up for our Republic. It was a time to do our small part for the men, some barefoot, who braved the winter at Valley Forge, for those, both blue and gray, who gave the ultimate at places like Shiloh, Gettysburg and Bull Run, for the men and boys who leaped off the Higgins Boats at Omaha Beach and sank to the bottom never to rise and those who did make it to the beach only to be torn apart by pieces of metal, for the Frozen Chosen in Korea, the Vietnam Veterans who suffered 13-month long nightmares only to come home and be spit on, for the men and women who gave their lives to free the people of Kuwait and Iraq and for those now in Afghanistan. It was such a small thing we were called on to do last Saturday.

To those who did not make the 9-12 March, if this sounds melodramatic, well you just had to be there. I hope that next time you will be.
