Top 10 for 2010

I have had an incredible year. So it is difficult to narrow down the Top 10 things that I am most grateful for that occurred during 2010. After significant deliberation, here goes:

10. The excuse, “Its Bush’s fault” was used 11.4% less than in 2009

9. Big Sis finally agrees to secure the border

8. President Obama pledges to focuses like a laser on the economy, again and again and again.

7. Strike # 9. It turns out she was talking about the Afghanistan border.

6. President approving acceptable methods of interrogating captured terrorists which include rapid fire questions and/or looking directly into their eyes while remaining silent.

5. Erick Holder’s barbaric punishment of the New Black Panthers and heartfelt support for the legal citizens of Arizona.

4. The gratitude I know Michelle, Barry and the girls feel toward me as I help pay for their lavish vacations all over the world.

3. Free groping at all major U. S. airports by “friendly” TSA Agents

2. Basketball and the sharp elbows of Rey Decerega.

1. Nancy Pelosi is no longer 2nd in line to the Presidency.

I wish you all a joyful New Year!

Bounce Boehner

More than 2 weeks before the Nov. 2nd election, I predicted a Republican pick-up of 55 to 60 House seats and 9 to 10 Senate seats. The final totals were 63 and 6. If it were not for the Republican machine fighting against us, we would have picked up 8 in the Senate (Alaska and Nevada). Considering I was more accurate than people like Dick Morris who are paid lots of money to go on TV, write blogs and books about politics, I’ll take it.

I posted a Blog November 4th called Party Leadership. Many who follow my blogs questioned why I was so negative toward John Boehner. If you have been paying attention since then, I trust you now understand. The so called leadership of the Republican Party broke their promise on not raising taxes and stopping earmarks faster than hummingbirds wings can flap. Then Boehner anoints the China light bulb pusher Fred Upton as Chairman Energy & Commerce and pork-barrel king Hal Rogers as House Appropriations Chairman. Both of these appointments were in direct opposition to the wishes of the Tea Party movement. This was a backhanded slap to the face followed by a kick to the groin.

If all of our work during 2010 is to mean anything of significance, we must stop Boehner and his cohorts. We can do this. You see, Boehner need not be Speaker of the House. This cannot officially be voted on until the class of 2011 is sworn-in.

I am pleading with Tom McClintock (CA), Michele Bachman (MN), Jason Chaffetz (Ut), Jeff Flake (AZ), Jeff Miller (FL) and the other veteran congressman constitutionalists, to join the freshmen and block Boehner and his cronies. You can do this. You can stop the business as usual mentality. Do NOT let them maintain leadership or very little will change, regardless of the People’s landslide election of last month.

Candidly, we who work for a living and pay for everything, are running out of options. I am pleading with you to fight the good fight for us. Do not let these DC blue-bloods continue to bankrupt our Country.

Boycott or Not

On ResistNet last week, I responded to a fellow patriot who opposed targeting specific corporations who support the leftist progressive movement in our country. That response follows:

My friend and ally, this is the first time we have disagreed. As a general rule, I have always opposed boycotts. Although, I did appreciate the “boycott of those who boycott Arizona.” That had a certain symmetry; instant Karma.

Here is why I strongly support this movement:

I agree that companies have the right to express their opinions. When those opinions are threatening the financial well being of the United States, and therefore our ability to defend our freedom, we not only have the right but the responsibility to oppose those companies.

MSNBC (Owned by GE) openly promoted Barrack Obama for President during the 2008 campaign. Jeffery Immelt (Chairman of GE) was appointed to the White House Economic Recovery Advisory Board the month after Obama took office. It is no coincidence that GE aggressively promotes the Cap & Trade Bill. GE stands to make several billion dollars if it becomes law. A few weeks ago in Ohio, GE closed the last incandescent light bulb manufacturing plant in the United States. This is an industry created by an American, Thomas Edison. Now we will buy our CFL’s from China. It is all a money game with these large companies. The workers have little, if any, say in company policies. I don’t believe for a second that a majority of GE workers approved of GE continuing to sell to Iran long after an embargo was imposed and our soldiers were being killed in Iraq. My mother worked for GE in Shelbyville, IN for 30 years as a spot welder. Today, she actually cries if the name GE even comes up in a conversation.

In my blog post yesterday (www.infamosamos.blogpost.com), I mention Listerine. If we all stop buying Listerine, perhaps the employees will demand their company stop working against the will of the people. Regardless, we are not going to stop buying mouthwash. If Listerine sales sharply decline, their competitors’ sales must sharply rise. These workers can leave Johnson & Johnson and go to the competitor to fill their increased needs. Or, we can all just give up and in a few years Listerine will be like the American made light bulb.

The Obama administration, Soros and their comrades are doing all they can, as rapidly as they can, to destroy our way of life. We can’t just sit back and write blog posts, go to rallies and email our Congressmen. We need to take direct action.

I don’t see this as a typical boycott where people stand out in front of businesses for a couple weeks with signs of protest. I am not asking that these businesses be shut down or that the leftists in this country stop buying products from GE, Johnson & Johnson, Google, etc. I am pleading with all conservatives to discontinue funding the progressive/liberal movement in this country. We cannot defeat this well orchestrated assault on our liberties if we continue to finance the enemy. The targeted firms have chosen the side they believe will give them the largest return on their investments. That is all they care about. We must show them that they should reevaluate that decision.

Financing the Enemy

It is my understanding that the National Center for Public Research and Freedomworks are teaming up to make We the People (WtP) aware of large companies that lobby for legislation that threatens to harm consumers. This would be legislation that most all conservatives detest, such as Obama Care and Cap & Trade. They have announced that General Electric and Johnson & Johnson head the list; but, I am sure Progressive Insurance and Google will be among the top tier of firms.

With the overwhelming success of the November 2 elections, it is clear that the silent majority is no longer oblivious to the very real threats aimed at our society by progressives in congress and the Obama administration. First there was ignorance, then denial, which progressed to recognition, followed by anger. The Tax Day Protests, 9-12 Marches on DC and Glenn Beck’s 8-28 Project were massive displays by WtP that changes were going to be made or else. We were ignored by most of our elected officials; so we chose the path of or else.

We made ourselves heard on November 2, 2010. Now we must monitor those we helped put into office. Make sure they know we are going to hold them accountable. Just as importantly, they need to know that we have their backs when they need our assistance in combating the dual cancers of corruption and arrogance so prevalent inside the beltway. However, that isn’t enough. WtP need to take direct action. We must stop financing the enemy.

This will sometimes be inconvenient. Take a look at my email address. I commit to dropping gmail (Goggle) by year’s end. Those of you with Progressive Insurance need to stop funneling money through them to the Obama Administration. Look up what products Johnson & Johnson sells. I am sure you have some of them in your house. After January 1, 2011, stop supporting these people. Now let’s not get crazy here. If your doctor wants to use Johnson & Johnson’s Cell Search to identify circular tumors, go for it. But come on. We can all find a substitute for Listerine.

I am going to name what I consider the dirty baker’s dozen progressives/Obama supporters in Hollywood. They are beyond condescending to us; they openly insult conservatives. Actors who are no longer relevant, such as Ed Asner, Martin Sheen, Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon and Barbra Streisand, are not on the list. Rob Reiner has been instrumental in the bankruptcy of California and as such transcends this list proceeding directly to the Progressive Hall of Fame. Janeana Garofalo and Michael Moore are not on the list. Anybody still financially supporting these two individuals after all they have publically said and done to denounce America and conservatism, would not be reading anything I write.

1. Leonardo DiCaprio
2. Sean Penn
3. Steven Spielberg
4. Matt Damon
5. Tom Hanks
6. Julia Roberts
7. George Clooney
8. Olivia Wilde
9. Woody Harrelson
10. Alec Baldwin
11. Ben Affleck
12. Oliver Stone
13. Ben Stiller

These people are ruling class elitist who equate the American public to sheep. They consider us incapable of rational thought. Most of these people are Socialist or Communist. Some are just ignorant.

Olivia Wilde has a new movie coming out called Tron-Legacy. Sci-Fi lovers are going to want to see it. Keep in mind, she did a get-out-the-vote add funded by George Soros which was incredibly demeaning towards Sarah Palin and conservatism. She is an outspoken advocate for the progressive movement, as are all the people on my list. The Jason Bourne movies are among my favorites; but I will not spend one more dollar enriching Matt Damon enabling him and his buddy Affleck to throw another $1,000 a plate fund raiser for Obama.

The Prime Minister of Russia and former KGB officer, Vladimir Putin, was laying praise last week on actor Leonardo DiCapro, calling him, “A Real Man.” Of course, DiCaprio’s dire version of the earth’s future in the documentary The 11th Hour, plays right into the global warming hoax. This harms the American economy which would naturally benefit Russia. DiCaprio created, produced and narrated this propaganda piece and admits the purpose is to indoctrinate children. In his words, his goal was to “recruit young eco-activists to the cause. We need to get kids young.”

According to a 2009 article by Daryl Deino, Julia Roberts once threatened to fire anyone on her staff that said anything negative about Barrack Obama. Unlike Julia, I would defend the right of anyone, including the people on my list, to express and advocate for their beliefs. However, we have every right to express our opposition by not funding them. In fact, it is beyond our right. It is our obligation to stop financing the progressive movement by spending untold millions of dollars on Hollywood’s Hate American First bunch.

Congressman McClintock, An Open Letter

I did not address the issue of Barrack Obama being eligible for the Presidency in any of my previous blog posts or my book American Revolution 2010. The reason being is I thought that if Obama was not a legitimate candidate for the office of President, the Clinton Machine would have been all over it. They had resources beyond anything I could even imagine. Yet, they did not address the issue. To me that could only mean that it was not a problem for Mr. Obama. As for why Obama would not show proof of his place of birth when pressed to do so by critics, that fit perfectly with his game plan of deliberately agitating We the People. It was just another of many diversions while he worked to force through Obama Care. Now I believe I was mistaken.

Definitions change over time. I don't mean like Clinton's famous "it depends on what the definition of is is." Rather, something like how the meaning of being gay in 1890 changed to what it meant to be gay in 1990. We need to know the definition of “natural born Citizen” when the Constitution was written. It is not relevant what Barrack Obama or Glen Amos uses as a definition today. We can't trust Goggle, Wikipedia or Snopes when it comes to political/progressive issues (check out their political donations and connections). Consider the following:

Emmerich de Vattel’s The Law of Nations, published in 1759 was THE primary reference book used by our Founders of the U. S. Constitution. According to constitutional scholars over the past 200 plus years, it is not possible to overstate the influence of de Vattel’s The Law of Nations as the primary reference book in the drafting of our Constitution. In it, de Vattel wrote, “The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens.” Please make special note of the “s” on parents. http://www.lonang.com/exlibris/vattel/vatt-119.htm

In Article 2, Section 1 of our Constitution, it reads, “No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President.”

Barrack Obama’s father was NOT a U. S. Citizen. He was a Citizen of the U. K. and/or Kenya. Therefore, Barrack Obama cannot possibly be a natural born Citizen of the United States and is not legally qualified to serve as President of the United States.

Congressman McClintock, you displayed the integrity and fortitude to reprove the President of Mexico when he demeaned the Citizens of Arizona while speaking in our House. If you have proof that my logic is invalid, please explain precisely how this is so, as I seek only the truth. If not, I am asking you to do the difficult thing and fulfill your oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States by calling upon the Secret Service to remove Mr. Obama from the office of President as rapidly as possible.

TSA, A Slight of Hand

Over the past 3 weeks, I have flown from Seoul, to Bangkok, to Kuala Lumpur, to Singapore, to Adelaide, to Sydney, to Honolulu, to Sacramento. I never went through a body scanner nor was I patted down. Not once. I did not even have to take off my shoes. I am over 60, white and a native Hoosier. I am not a frequent flier and had never before flown on Korean Airlines, Lufthansa, or Singapore Airlines.

What is going on here in the U. S. is just another way the Obama regime is deliberately agitating We the People. They want us frustrated and our attention diverted. It serves their purposes. As always the media is an enabler. If it isn't this issue they are talking about it is Dancing With the Stars. Anything to keep us stirred up and prevents Dorothy and us from seeing the man behind the curtain (Soros).

Ugly Americans

In Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore, I seldom turned on the TV. When I did try to catch up on a little news, the choices were BBC or CNN. More appropriate letters would be CRAP.

It is no wonder many in the world have such a low opinion of Americans. If all a person knew about us was what was aired on these channels, they would certainly have negative opinions of us. One BBC reporter about went apoplectic over the election results of November 2nd. He was screaming, “Who do these people (Tea Party movement) think they are trying to subvert the policies of President Obama!”

When Obama goes on TV in the US and says the election results were the fault of the people failing to understand the accomplishments of his administration (“Making an argument that people can understand”), we know he is delusional, lying or both. Many outside the United States don’t get to hear the truth. It would be like us having to rely on MSNBC. They hear the President of the United States basically calling us stupid. In Asia, the BBC and CNN give news biased a whole new dimension.

Let me ask you a question. Who are the most feral sports fans? Perhaps the home town crowd at a Philadelphia Phillies game or maybe the Oakland Raiders fans? No, these fanatics would not even get an honorable mention compared to the fans of many sports overseas. In today’s paper, I read about a rugby match where the highly touted Kiwis team was defeated by the Kangaroos 34-20. The Kiwis fans disgraced themselves right from the start by booing at the playing of the Australian national anthem. This was a mere warm up to an ugly display of poor sportsmanship. In addition to the 5 fights that broke out in the stands, the crowd of 44,000 “rained bottles onto the field.” Many of these were full beer bottles and some hit the players. No decent Raider or Phillies fan would throw a beer bottle without having drained it first.

In reality, the American people are the most generous people on earth. We have the greatest military force the world has ever known. Yet, we do not wish to conquer other nations. We tend to be kind, respectful and good natured. The rest of the world seldom gets a glimpse of these traits. The news media will continue to propagate the illusion of the ugly American. President Obama will continue to consider us “enemies”. He will tour the world apologizing for us. He will do so with our money, traveling in a style befitting 19th century royalty. He will do this while 9.6% of our citizens are out of work.

I am damn proud to be an American and look forward to the day we have a President who feels the same.

Party Leadership

The former silent majority did not work our behinds off for the past 20 months just to see Progressive Democrats replaced by establishment, elitist RINOs. We spent our resources (money, time and energy) to get politicians elected who would be fiscally responsible and believe in the Constitution and small government. We DO NOT want the same good old boys running our House.

We elected people who support the Tea Party movement. The RNC establishment fought us almost as much as the Democrats fought us. Specifically, the RNC fought our choices in Alaska, Nevada, Utah, Kentucky and Connecticut along with many others. If the RNC had their way, flip-flop Charlie Crist would be the new Senator from Florida instead of a man of principal, Marco Rubio. Had the Republican leadership truly gotten behind our Tea Party supported candidates, the tsunami on November 2 would have been even larger.

Please, everyone who worked so hard to help save our Republic, do not leave it to these elitist to hand pick themselves as the leadership of the next Congress. We won! Don’t let these guys surrender our cause. A few weeks ago, John Boehner jumped at the first opportunity to claim they could work with President Obama to improve the Health Care Bill if the Republican Party took control of the House. This remark came under immediate and intense criticism by We the People. So, Boehner walked it back. That change of rhetoric does NOT indicate a change of heart. He is a “say whatever” to placate the masses and then do what is best for his own power. Don’t allow these elitist to anoint Boehner. Tell your elected officials who you want to lead the Party you put in the majority.

For what it is worth, here are my choices:

Speaker of the House: Michele Bachmann
House Majority Leader: Paul Ryan
Majority Whip: Jeff Miller
House Rep. Conference: Chairman=Eric Cantor, Vice-Chair=Tom McClintock, Sect.=Jason Chaffetz

Republican Policy Committee Chair: Allen West

Don’t let our victory be watered down. Let’s work to put in place leaders who will represent us and withstand the immense pressures to “compromise” the beliefs they espoused that got them elected.

Diversity in Kuala Lumpur

I spent the day in the company of a 40 year old Muslim woman. She has her own successful tour coordinator business. She is an intelligent business person and speaks at least 3 languages. She was my guide and took me to such places as the Batu Caves, a Hindu holy temple, the King’s palace and a Buddhist temple. She even gave a rubber tree tapping demonstration (kind of like molasses extraction). We ended our day with a visit to the largest Muslim mosque in Malaysia. As I am not a travel writer, it would be fair to ask, “So what?” My point is to convey that I do not have negativity toward Muslims.

This morning before she arrived to pick me up, I was enjoying a leisurely breakfast in the large hotel restaurant. Looking around the room, I saw people that were probably Korean, Japanese, Australian, Thai, Malaysian and a host of other nationalities. I knew there were numerous religions represented in this common space. Having lived for over 20 years in the San Francisco Bay area, I am very comfortable in such a setting. There were business types in suites, tourist in shorts and sandals, men in flowing robes. One young woman was wearing very short shorts and a tank top, not that I noticed.

I was cognizant and appreciative of the sense of trust shared by such a diverse group. We could ignore one another because we had no negative concerns with each other.

At this point a young couple came in and was seated not far from my table. They had a cute little boy barely old enough to sit up in a high chair. The young father was fit and handsome. The mother was wearing a black Burka. Nothing was visible except a partial glimpse of her eyes through the Burka’s slit. In that instant, my emotion went from harmonious to white hot. One word instantaneously overpowered my every thought. That word was ENEMY. This man, not the woman, was my ENEMY. If you do not understand this, I beg you to spend as little as one hour reading about Sharia law.

My tour guide, under Sharia law, could be stoned to death by her husband, father and brothers for being seen in my company. Under Sharia law, a woman who is raped has dishonored her father, brothers or husband and may be put to death. This week, Osama Bin Laden threatened France because of its ban on Burkas.

This intense negativity was fleeting, lasting for less than 5 seconds. However, I thought to myself, thank goodness I do not work for NPR.

Geithner and Zen

I am half way around the world in Bangkok and who do I see yesterday while having breakfast? Tax cheat, little Timmy Geithner. He is in Asia doing dirty work for world governance at the G20 Conference. Okay, for those of you who insist on absolute accuracy in every detail, I did not meet Timmy face-to-face. His picture took up 1/3rd of one page of my morning newspaper. Still it was enough of an encounter to ruin 4 minutes of my vacation.

Thank goodness the next page had a feature on an elderly Zen monk. He is quoted saying that as a 16 year old novice he was required to learn 60 verses by heart, all 4-lines. The first verse follows:

Waking up this morning, I smile.
I know that there are 24 brand new hours for me to live.
I vow to live every moment of the day deeply.
And try to look at everyone with eyes of compassion.

Well, this certainly sounds like a harmonious way of going through life. I thought about it some more and then turned back to the page featuring Mr. Geithner. I still saw a dishonest, conniving, elitist weasel. I guess it takes a few years of practice before the compassion kicks in. I’ll work on it.

Sanity is Spreading

For the past 19 months, I have devoted every spare moment, and a significant portion of my children’s meager inheritance, making people aware of the dangers of the Obama socialist regime and the progressive controlled and corrupt congress. It is then ironic that business will take me out of the country during the election.

I am extremely optimistic that the former silent majority (now known as The Tea Party) will eviscerate Congress on November 2nd. My prediction is that the Republicans will take perhaps 55 to 60 seats in the House and 9 or 10 Senate seats. What makes this meaningful is that we will not be replacing liberal/progressive Democrats with go along/get along RINOS. People like Rubio, Rand, Miller, Backmann and Col. Allen West are not going to go to Washington and be compromised by the likes of McCain, Gingrich or other elitist Republicans. It is time to man-up.

Two events occurred overseas this past week that indicate just how far rational thought has risen. A Dutch Member of Parliament, Geert Wilders, had been charged and put on trial for expressing outrage over the Islamification of the Netherlands. Prosecutors called it hate speech. Just a couple years ago, Wilders would have been imprisoned and/or fined. Instead, he was found Not Guilty and is being treated as a national hero.

Also last week, Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel declared that the country’s experiment to build a multicultural society, “has failed, utterly failed.” She went on to proclaim that with respect to foreign workers, “Anyone who does not immediately speak German is not welcome.”

Wasn’t it just a couple years ago that we were being told we should be more like Europe? Those same people are now silent about Wilder and Merkel. We can see how well socialism, single payer health care, global governance and cowering to Muslim fanatics has worked out in France, Greece and the UK. Only the most naïve and ignorant among us would want to copy those failed policies.

Sanity is spreading across our land and just in time. I will be with all of you in spirit on November 2nd.

Sacred Ground

In the United States, there are many locations that are sacred ground. If you ever go inside the long-barracks at the Alamo, you can sense the killing lust of the men making their last stand and the Mexican soldiers storming into the building. The carnage and stench of death must have been all encompassing, drowning out Santa Anna's buglers playing of “No Quarter.” There is a surreal feeling to the long-barracks that cannot be conveyed by the printed word. It is not quite the same as when walking the grounds of Arlington or the Punchbowl. When looking at the grave markers of generals lying beside privates at Arlington Cemetery or that of our fallen heroes buried at the Punchbowl Cemetery, I felt sadness but also pride. At the long-barracks, there was something more and it made my skin tingle. I could pick up on the intense fear of many men fighting to the death in hand to hand combat, 110 years before I was born. I saw no apparitions as many others have claimed; but I felt the energy and it was icy cold. I did not want to remain in this small building nor did I not want to leave it. The bodies of the defenders of the Alamo were dismembered, buried in mass graves, dropped in the river or burned.

I suspect the intent of the neat rows of white crosses and manicured lawns of our national cemeteries is to provide a feeling of closure and nobility, of coming home to spend eternity with your patriots in arms. The settings are so serene that we don’t connect with the horror that gave them their entry passes. Perhaps that is a good thing. Regardless, the Alamo and our national cemeteries are sacred ground.

At Gettysburg, on July 1-3 in 1863 we suffered approximately 50,000 American causalities. That is nearly as many in 3 days as during the entire Vietnam War! “Causalities” is a cruel word as there is nothing causal about what happened at Gettysburg. There was no morphine and surgeons were more like butchers. To be wounded and placed on the surgeon’s table would have been horrific.

You can make a list of our sacred grounds if you wish. It would be a good thing to teach your children or grandchildren. I suspect Pearl Harbor, Ground Zero and Shanksville, Pennsylvania (wreckage of Flight 93) would make your list. Perhaps Ford’s theater in DC, Dealey Plaza in Dallas and the Lorraine Motel in Memphis would be included? A good argument could be made for these and many other locations. My list would have to include the voting booths all across this land.

The United States has been a beacon of hope for the entire world. That light is beginning to fade as Progressives in DC work feverishly to transfer the wealth of our nation to others. The Progressives and RINOs in the House and Senate are allowing the Congress to be made irrelevant by the Obama Administration. The Supreme Court is being stacked with those who do not believe in our Constitution. Our Justice Department is controlled by racists and our politicians cower to Muslims who are intent on bringing Shari law to the United States.

We can all visualize that picture of the woman in Iraq smiling and proudly holding up her ink stained finger. She was fully aware that there were many in the streets that might torture or kill her for voting. Still, she did so and encouraged others to vote through her bravery.

Our Republic is at a crossroads. We must throw out as many global governance politicians as possible. If we do not take control of Congress away from Progressives and RINO elitist this November 2nd, our nation will succumb to tyranny; and President Obama will succeed in his quest to fundamentally transform America into a debtor nation. Dip your finger in purple ink before going to the polling place. Vote and then proudly hold up that stained digit to the New Black Panthers and Eric Holder on the way out.

Shot Heard Around the World

Depending upon where you live and your age, the phrase, “the shot heard ‘round the world” has different meanings. To baseball fans over the age of 60, it conjures up images of Bobby Thompson’s walk-off home run to win the 1951 World Series for the New York Giants. In Europe, the phrase generally refers to the assignation of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria and the beginning of WW1. In a 2009 album Love Drunk by the band Boys Like Girls, one of the cuts is entitled “The Shot Heard Round the World.” I don’t even want to guess at what that means.

I am of the opinion that We the People should never forget the original which was written by Ralph Waldo Emerson. Describing the opening conflict of the Revolutionary War at the battle at Old North Bridge, he wrote:

"By the rude bridge that arched the flood,
Their flag to April's breeze unfurled;
Here once the embattled farmers stood,
And fired the shot heard 'round the world."

Wendy and I spent our time between the 8-28 Beck Restoring Honor gathering and the 9-12 March in DC visiting our Country’s heritage in Boston, Portsmouth, NH and Concord, MA. Paying my respects at the graves of Sam Adams and John Hancock wasn’t as much fun as say… being on the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland. Standing in silence, seeing the lettering on the stone makers worn to the point they were difficult to decipher, does not bring on an adrenalin rush; but walking through Granary Burying Ground will bring emotions to the surface for any Patriot. It is sacred ground.

We drove from Portsmouth west to Concord, NH and then south to Concord, MA. We stopped in Concord, New Hampshire for lunch. I joked with our waitress, asking her how to get to the bridge where the shot heard round the world took place. Instead of laughing or rolling her eyes at the ignorant California flake, she replied that she didn’t know for sure but that there were a bunch of historical monuments downtown and perhaps it was there. Okay, I was a little embarrassed. I’m thinking maybe she didn’t grow up in New England and was not taught our history. I asked how long she lived in Concord and she replied all her life. Now I’m hooked.

To Wendy’s chagrin, I insisted we walk around Main Street in front of the Court House for a few minutes while I ask the locals for directions. The next two townspeople were very polite and it was obvious they wanted to be helpful. They had both heard of the shot heard round the world but did not know where the old bridge was located. Perhaps it had been destroyed over the years? The fourth person I approached was a 40 something business man. He looked at me with a sly smile and I knew the ruse was up. He said, “Sir, you are in the wrong state. You want Concord, Massachusetts.” He points south and says, “About 75 miles that way.”

We arrived at the Old North Bridge around 5 in the afternoon. It was overcast and just a bit chilly. At first, the setting was almost too serene; it took a while to sense the violence that took place here on April 19, 1775. The re-constructed Old North Bridge spanning the Concord River is far more solid than was the rickety original. There is a statue of a Minuteman on the west side of the bridge; but it is the marker for the grave of two British Redcoats on the east bank that beckons us to understand that this too is sacred ground. Earlier the morning of April 19, in nearby Lexington, the Redcoats fired on and killed 8 and wounded 10 colonists. At the Old North Bridge, Approximately 95 Redcoats on the east side of the Concord River faced 400 Minutemen on the west side just 50 yards apart. Whether out of fear or contempt for their rag tag opposition, the King’s army fired upon the Minutemen, killing two. This time, the Minutemen fired back and the world was forever changed.

Emerson’s “Concord Hymn” written in 1837, was not meant to slight the carnage at Lexington but to acknowledge that it was at the Old North Bridge where the colonist first fired back at the regular army under orders to do so by their commanders. We had finally had enough.

I have had enough Cass Sunstein, Andy Stern, Valerie Jarett, George Soros, Barack Obama, et al. “occupying” our White House and the Congress that enables them. The progressives are close to reaching their goal of turning the United States into a 2nd tier nation and achieving global governance. If you still do not recognize this truth, consider the following. The U. S. is energy dependent. That threatens our economy and security. Obama shuts down our oil drilling in the Gulf by Executive Order. A judge blocks Obama’s Executive Order. Obama ignores the judge (rule of law) and keeps the rigs shut down. Obama loans our money to Mexico and Brazil so they can drill in the Gulf.

Under the Obama administration, the Justice Department will not enforce voter intimidation laws if those breaking the law are black and the people being harmed are white. The Obama administration will not enforce our nation’s immigration laws, supports sanctuary cities and has the Justice Department attack the Sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona and the state of Arizona.

Even King George of England in 1775 did not force us to buy British Tea. Yet, the Obama administration under the guidance of King George Soros forces us to buy insurance! The government has no authority under our Constitution to force us to buy anything. Haven’t you had enough America? I hope so and I pray that you stand beside me and fire back on November 2nd.

A Call for Help

I made up my mind at the end of August to let go and let God with respect to my little book. It still nagged at me that I should do more to get it out there to the masses that make up We the People; I just did not know what to do or how to do it. I am not rich or a celebrity. The easy way would be to just accept that I tried. But, I was feeling guilty all the same. There is too much at stake. If we lose our freedom, I would not feel so much as a gram of solace telling my grandson, “At least I tried.”

When I watched Glenn Beck last night, he held up a thick, scholarly book and said that after 5 years of hardly any sales, the book had sold 70,000 copies in the month since he mentioned it on the air. Herein lays the problem. I am 100% certain that those 70,000 people are already totally on board with our grave concerns for our Republic. It is preaching to the choir and will not garner one additional vote for true conservatives who will defend our Constitution. The people who purchased that book are already with us. Many, perhaps most, of those who bought the book won’t actually read it; but for sure, anyone who is not already fully onboard with the dangers we are confronting would not read it… even if someone gave them a copy. Beck admitted it would make your eyes bleed.

This brings me to the heart of the matter.

American Revolution 2010 is a CliffsNotes version of what is wrong with the system and why it threatens the very existence of America. We are in a desperate struggle in a 3-pronged war against the Democrat Party consumed by liberal/progressives, Republican establishment elitist and the news media.

If the Beck and Limbaugh faithful all bought my book and read it, most would probably enjoy it. This would accomplish absolutely nothing but put money in my pocket (also the Wounded Warrior Project who would receive 10% of all profit). That is NOT what I want! It is my most ardent hope that Patriots will buy one or multiple copies and give them away. Not randomly or to progressive ideologues, but to their relatives, friends, neighbors and co-workers, regardless of Party affiliation, who they know love this country but have not taken time away from their busy lives to understand what all the fuss is about. These are the people we need to reach. We have precious little time to do it.

This election will determine if we can stop the hemorrhaging and stabilize our economy long enough to perform major surgery in 2012. If there is someone you know who would be receptive if they only knew the truth, go to Amazon.com and order my book as a gift. If you know someone but you are out of work, contact me at bharrison1776@gmail.com. I have about a hundred copies. I will send them one free and pay the shipping until my supply runs out. I wish I could do more. I am asking for your help.

Throw Them All Out

There are a few (very few) incumbent politicians fighting the good fight for us. Among that list would be Congressman Tom McClintock of California, Congresswoman Michele Bachman of Wisconsin and Senator Jim DeMint of South Carolina. It is critical that we get this coming election right. We must study the candidates and support, as best we can, those who are a positive force for protecting our Constitution and removing those who are a cancer to our Republic.

The Democrat party, totally controlled by progressives, has made Bachman their number one target. The blue-blood, inside the beltway Republican leadership recognizes DeMint as a threat to their power. McClintock was the man who had the cajones to stand up and rebuke Mexican President Calderon for his reprehensible insults toward the state of Arizona on the floor of our House. These three incumbent politicians, and a few others, present an obstacle to the progressives’ (Democrat and Republican) goal of fundamentally transforming America.

If my only choice was to keep them all or purge them all, I would not hesitate to push down on the chrome handle and flush them all away. However, We the People have choices and we must be far more aware of voting records and past actions. We must not rely on the corrupt news media or campaign ads, most of which are distortions, illusions or flat out lies.

We have made a significant difference already in this election cycle by not accepting many of the elitist, poachers that the Republican establishment demanded that we, the ignorant masses, support. Let us not waste our votes (because it would never succeed) and diminish our efforts with a “throw them all out” approach. Do the research and make your vote count.

DC 8-28 & 9-12 a Personal Perspective

Wendy and I went to the foot of the Lincoln Memorial Friday August 27 around noon. She wanted to see if people were already starting to gather for the Glenn Beck Rally and I wanted to visit the Vietnam Wall (which I did). There were already several hundred people at the west end of the Reflecting Pool.

We picked a good location under the trees on the south side of the pool just east of the steps of the Memorial. We met with lots of wonderful people from all over the country. Many wanted and planned to spend the night. However, there was conflicting information as to whether or not the Park Police would run people out after dark. Finally, someone with a cell phone called the Park Police and asked for the exact rule. She was told that you could not pitch a tent, use a sleeping bag or go to sleep. Otherwise, you would not be in violation and would not be forced to leave.
Wendy wanted to spend the night but I convinced her that what was a good idea at 3PM would turn into something else around 3 AM. Families from Virginia and New York offered to save our spot. Wendy spread out a large white blanket and on it we placed our one lawn chair.

We returned at 5AM. Thankfully for those who had spent the night, temperatures had remained mild with no moisture. There were thousands of people gathered on both sides of the pool. One of those watching our spot said they could have sold it several times over and laughingly said he wished he had. At this point, a single cup of coffee would have probably garnered $20. The energy level, like the sun, had yet to rise. An example of the courtesy of those who came to restore honor in America is that there was not so much as a single footprint on our blanket. Thousands of strangers respectfully stepped around it.

The event was to start at 10 AM. By then, there were hundreds of thousands of people standing shoulder to shoulder. The thousands still arriving could not get closer than the WWII Memorial, if that close.

We were at the first 9-12 and this came very near having the same level of energy. Crowd estimates ranged from 300,000 to 500,000. There were marked differences. Foremost was that prior to 9-12-2009, we had no idea if 50,000 people would show up. So, when over a million people gathered, there was an overwhelming sense of relief that our Republic did have a chance after all. We the People were no longer hibernating and would take back control of our government. The 9-12 March was also political and rambunctious. Poignant and/or funny signs were everywhere. The emotions were joy and relief, tinged with anger.

Beck’s event was pure joy and love for all Americans of all races and faiths. There were no angry shouts at politician (so richly deserving of intense criticism), no signs and few costumes. It was an event that may well help change America for the better. If God was our parent, He would look down on all the speakers and all who attended with immense pride. For at least one day, we got it right.

The March on 9-12-10 was down significantly in numbers, maybe as much as 75%. Perhaps the rain kept some away who live within an hour drive or so. Certainly, the Beck gathering, having been held just two weeks earlier, peeled off tens of thousands who could not attend both events. With unemployment so high, many simply could not afford to attend while others hunker down in fear an even worsening economy. Also, there were major Tea Party Events being held in St Louis and Sacramento. In St Louis in 2009, they reported a gathering of about 900. This year was around 10,000 according to one newspaper report.

Still, there was no lack of passion by those who were in DC. Many of the speakers were outstanding. Mike Pence of Indiana sounded like he should be given consideration for higher office in 2012. Andrew Breitbart was the most entertaining as he poked fun at the lame-stream media. The speaker who really got the crowd motivated was Tito Munoz. He declared that as a new citizen, he refused to see the United States deliberately be turned into a 3rd world country like the one he had escaped.

I do not think that the smaller attendance at the DC march is any indication of a slide back into apathy by the American People. The tremendous turnout at the various primaries and the results of those elections support my optimism. I believe that the American people have awakened to the rush for one world order and socialism that our politicians (in both parties) are pursuing. Will there be enough of us? We will find out in about 5 weeks.

9-12 March on DC - Deja Vu

It is hard to believe this Sunday marks the anniversary of the first 9-12 March on Washington. It led to the blog post below which is within my first book, American Revolution 2010 – A Tea Party Patriot’s Call to Arms. As I have told people, this is the one passage in AR 2010 that I did not write with my mind; it is strictly from the heart. The ending flowed through me as if I was just the conduit. Please read this blog; please come join us Sunday. If circumstances prevent you from being here in person, be with us in spirit.

9-12 March on DC

The news media wants to downplay the 9-12 March on Washington by saying there were 10's of thousands of protesters. That is outlandish. Home Land Security and a group at U. of Illinois trained in crowd estimates based on overhead photography independently came up with 1.2 million. Some groups with bias on the other side gave estimates of 1.7 to 2.0 million. I have been to 6 World Series games and know full well what a crowd of 10's of thousands looks like. The 9-12 March was NOT 10's of thousands. Oh, don't be fooled by pictures taken from the Capitol looking west to the Washington Monument. We were not allowed on the grass of the Mall. They claimed it was reserved, but no one used it. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind why we were not allowed on the Mall (grassy area between the Capitol and the Washington Monument). It is so when people look at photos of the scene, which is what is normally used for giant crowds (Martin Luther King speech, inaugurations, etc.), they will see no protesters there. It gives the illusion that the crowd, while somewhat significant (10's of thousands), was not one of the largest in DC history. In fact, some news media showed side by side photos to get this point across. Had we been allowed on the Mall, we most certainly would have filled it all the way to the Washington Monument (about a mile). Instead, we filled the streets on both sides running parallel to the Mall (one a 4-lane and the other a 6-lane) all the way to the Washington Monument. Also, what you don't see in those photos are the hundred thousand or so people on the north and south sides of the Capitol steps.

The March was scheduled to begin at 11AM so we planned to arrive at 10:30. We were two blocks north of Pennsylvania Ave. and had to walk west to get to the street where we would turn south direct to Freedom Plaza. At the first intersection, we glanced to our left and saw nothing but people totally filling Pennsylvania Ave intersection marching east toward the Capitol. Our hearts soared. We had both quietly been concerned that "We the people" would not show up in significant numbers. We began walking as fast as we could to Freedom Plaza.

When we got there, it was like a great sorrow had been lifted. The joy and pride I can't really describe. Think of how sad you were on 9-11 2001. This was the polar opposite. Looking east, there was an ocean of people already marching, block after block after block of them. The Plaza was overflowing and from every direction as people were rushing to join the March. It was like a dam breaking in multiple spots with people flooding in to be a part of history.

We did not leave until it concluded at 4 PM. There was not one arrest. No burning police cars, no broken storefront windows, and American flags were held high, not burned. There were chants of "USA USA" and "Can you hear us now." Hundreds of thousands of people singing God Bless America as we approached the Capitol. In all that time, I never heard a single person ask about religion, or political party affiliation. Race and gender did not matter. In fact, what everyone asked of each other was, "Where are you from." We were all so very thankful that the other person came to make a difference. Some came even though it was a serious burden financially. People came from all 50 states, some were in wheelchairs others pushed strollers.

On this day, all 1.2 million people came together to stand up for our Republic. It was a time to do our small part for the men, some barefoot, who braved the winter at Valley Forge, for those, both blue and gray, who gave the ultimate at places like Shiloh, Gettysburg and Bull Run, for the men and boys who leaped off the Higgins Boats at Omaha Beach and sank to the bottom never to rise and those who did make it to the beach only to be torn apart by pieces of metal, for the Frozen Chosen in Korea, the Vietnam Veterans who suffered 13-month long nightmares only to come home and be spit on, for the men and women who gave their lives to free the people of Kuwait and Iraq and for those now in Afghanistan. It was such a small thing we were called on to do last Saturday.

To those who did not make the 9-12 March, if this sounds melodramatic, well you just had to be there. I hope that next time you will be.

John Cusack and Other America Haters

In my book, American Revolution 2010, there is a chapter on Hollywood titled Curtain Call. This comes to mind because of recent John Cusack remarks.

Cusack commented that Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor rally was “Unifying whites – class war of blame and fear.” I was one of the 500,000 souls who attended the 8-28 event. I spent 8 hours there. All races and ages were present. It was all about acceptance of others and belief in God. Cusack, like his liberal/progressive friends, speaks out of ignorance and bias.

On August 29, Cusack’s Twitter feed reportedly read, “I am for a satanic death cult center at Fox News H.Q…” He once called a patriotic Tweeter a “flag sucking halfwit.” When I think of all the men and boys who were killed or maimed trying to protect our flag, Cusack’s remark makes my blood boil.

In Curtain Call, I proclaim that I will never spend another dollar supporting the lavish lifestyles of the Hollywood elitists who in return disparage conservatives and America. Cusack now joins the likes of Tom Hanks, Sean Penn, Danny Glover and Julia Roberts in the long list of Hollywood’s Hugo Chavez loving, Hate America First club. They have every right to their socialist beliefs. I have every right to avoid their play acting. In fact, it is more than my right; it is my obligation.

Words Can Do Nothing More

We are in Boston today, staying at what claims to be the oldest continuously operating hotel in the United States. Wendy and I are taking some personal time between the 8-28 Beck gathering and the 9-12 March in DC. We did not dare stay in Washington as obviously something in the DC water drives people crazy if consumed for any length of time.

We went on a trolley tour of the town today. The history that surrounds this place is overwhelming to a patriot. From “Bunker Hill”, the site of the Boston Massacre or Paul Revere’s house, there is so much history to absorb and appreciate. The Granary Burying Ground is a block from our hotel and contains the remains of great Patriots including Sam Adams, John Hancock and Paul Revere. The 5 victims of the Boston Massacre are interred next to Adams. This includes the first black man to die in the Revolutionary War, Crispus Attucks.

Yet, along with feelings of patriotism and appreciation for the sacrifice of our forefathers, I was saddened by what Boston has become. The majority buys into cradle to grave entitlements mentality. They have turned socialist. The streets are dirty and the panhandlers aggressive. It reminds me of San Francisco. That is not a compliment.

There is a Puritan meeting house built in 1729 called the “Old South Meeting House.” This is where our beloved Tea Party began. On December 16, 1773 a meeting was called here to protest the tax that was to be charged on 30 tons of tea that was in the holds of the British ships moored at nearby Griffin’s Wharf. It is said that a few thousand people showed up and a heated debate ensued as to what to do if the ships did not sail back to England with the tea on board. CBS reported that there were only 50 people in attendance (okay, I made up that last part). When it was made clear that the ships would not depart with their cargo intact, Samuel Adams addressed the crowd and said, “Gentlemen, this meeting can do nothing more to save our country.” It is rumored this phrase was a code for the 60 members of the Sons of Liberty to disguise themselves as Mohawk Indians and advance to the wharf and destroy the 342 crates of tea.

We had 500,000 people attend the Glen Beck gathering Saturday. It was peaceful and respectful. We left the grounds a LOT cleaner than the streets of Boston or San Francisco are on a normal day. I believe that we will have at least 1.2 million people show up again this 9-12 to March on DC. In November, we will vote the liberal/progressives and many RINOs out of office.

If they refuse to leave office, or steal elections with the aid of ACCORN types (such as Al Franken in Minnesota) or if the Administration continues to attack states such as they have Arizona, there may be blogs that just say, “Ladies and gentlemen, words can do nothing more to save our country.”

Few in Boston would answer Adams’ call today. Most won’t respond should the above modified cryptic call to arms be made. However, there are Oath Keepers, Texans and several million others all over this land who will not live on their knees. Progressives are warned. A tsunami is coming.

Sunday, August 8, 2010

Since the days of Tip O’Neill, we have been told that “All politics is local.” I have often used that phrase myself. However, I now realize that this is propaganda. It has been ingrained into us for the purpose of helping incumbent politicians remain in office. I live in California, not Nevada. Yet Harry Reid has done great harm to me and all hard working, productive Americans. I will do all I can with my limited resources to help remove Reid from office in 2010. Politicians will not put term-limits on themselves. We must do it. Otherwise, they will stay in office decade after decade or until God intervenes (Murtha & Byrd).

I am going to list and rank the 10 races that I believe should be the focus of all Americans. I have selected those where there is a decent chance to make a difference. For example, Maxine Waters is one of the worst politicians in our nation’s history. She did not make the list because there is nothing we can do about her this election cycle. Conversely, some incredibly good people were left off of the list because their opponents were not rated an F. By limiting it to 10, I wanted only win-win situations. That meant that one candidate had to be rated an A and their opponent an F. Maximum reward!

Americans have always answered the call in the face of danger. Our Republic needs you to answer that call yet again. Get actively involved. To do nothing is to do something. It is our complacency that the liberal/progressives are depending upon to overcome the Constitution.

I encourage you all to check out these candidates for yourselves. For example, if you want to see what a condescending dirtbag Pete Stark is, watch and listen to him at a 6-26-2010 town hall: http://www.buzzbox.com/news/2010-06-30/pete-stark:scottish-borders/

Contrast this with Lt. Colonel Allen West (ret.) in his Bayonets speech:
http://dailyradar.com/beltwayblips/video/congressional-candidate-lieutenant-colonel-allen-west/

So, here is my list. We must do all we can while we still can. The outcome of these races will impact Americans for generations to come. We cannot wait until 2012. The politicians I have rated F are like drug addicts. Their drug of choice is tax payer money and they won’t stop taking it until they kill the host. There must be an interdiction and we must perform it.

What a Sherrod

Rosslyn Smith wrote an article in American Thinker that should make the blood boil in every taxpaying American. That exempts the 40% or so living off the rest of us. Please go to the following link and check out the story of Sherrod and corruption that the mainstream media does not want you to know about.

www.americanthinker.com/blog/2010/07/forty_acres_a_mule_sherrod_sty.html

I believe the corruption in DC is too pervasive to be salvaged. There is just something about being inside the beltway that turns brains into mush and spines into Jello. Even so called conservatives such as Bill Crystal are not immune. Today on Fox News Sunday, Crystal portrayed Charlie Rangel as a really nice guy and that the (13) charges against him were all minor. Crystal felt that a reprimand would be appropriate punishment. Reprimand! Those of us not in the Ruling Class would have been put in jail long ago for doing 1/4 the things Rangel has done. Instead, the Ruling Class installs a tax cheat, Timothy Geithner, as Treasury Secretary. They now hold us in such contempt as to flaunt it in our faces.

Angelo Codeville wrote in American Spectator, “When the majority (us) discovered that virtually no one in a position of power in either party or with a national voice would take their objections (to the TARP bailout) seriously, that discussions about their money were being made in bipartisan backroom deals with interested parties and that the laws on these matters were being voted by people who had not read them, the term ‘political class’ came into use.”

Thomas Jefferson said that we have the best form of government but it needs to be overthrown each generation with the same form of government. Each generation is too often (unless we are talking about term-limits) but we are long overdue for a transfusion. The ruling class must be purged…now!

Mosque or Victory Shrine?

Open Letter to Senator Mikulski:

Senator Mikulski, I have no reason to think that you mean to cause emotional harm to the citizens that you represent. However, please understand that it is the Islamic tradition to build a mosque on the site of a victory to celebrate defeat of the infidel. The Islamic world would see this as weakness on our part and victory over the Great Satan. It would encourage more aggression.

On the flip side, it would be like building a Nazi shrine at Auschwitz or Dachau. To allow a mosque visible at Ground Zero would be an affront to every American.

Please, reconsider your position regarding a mosque at Ground Zero. This is sacred ground similar to The Arizona in Pearl Harbor. Allowing or supporting a mosque at Ground Zero is not supporting a separation of church and state. No, it is choosing sides.

Single Digits

I have long been of the opinion that there is no single group more intolerant than liberals. Well, there are the Islamic terrorists, Chinese communists, North Korean communists…okay, okay. Let me be more specific. In the United States, it is generally not the conservatives that are intolerant; it is the liberal/progressives.

Yesterday, at the July 4th parade in Nevada City, I rode on the Tea Party Patriots’ float. The vast majority of people lining the streets cheered and waved flags as our float passed by. Several who must have disagreed with the TPP principal of fiscal responsibility, limited government and adherence to the Constitution and Bill of Rights, respectfully remained silent. A few, who were more passionate in their opposition, gave us thumbs down. Good people can disagree. Every true conservative would defend the right of others to disagree with us.

However, there were a few in the crowd who shouted insults and flashed the single digit salute. My response was to smile and give them thumbs up. All of these individuals were adults of over 30. What would cause these people to be so disrespectful and antagonistic?

A 4th of July holiday is a time to rejoice the birth of our great nation. It should not be a time to reflect on why most liberals/progressives hate America. So, instead I encourage all of you to click on the attached link. It is an inspirational song by Jordan Page called Liberty which came to me courtesy of my friends Ken and Brenda Battle Jordan. I am sure you will be glad you did. I suspect, like me, you will want to share it with those you care about.

Happy Birthday to us all.

Litmus Test

Regardless of whether it is right or wrong and no matter if we admit it or not, for decades we have had a simple litmus test with respect to candidates for the Supreme Court. Does the person support or oppose abortion?

It has been a while, but I think Rush Limbaugh once commented that from a Constitutional perspective the critical error of Roe VS. Wade was that this should never have been made a federal law. Rather, it should be up to each state to determine the legality of abortion.

Regardless, it is my belief that we should have a new litmus test for any Supreme Court nominee. It is simply this: Do you believe in Sanctuary Cities?

At this point in time, the answer to that simple question provides us with profound insight.

According to our Founding Fathers, we are supposed to be a nation of laws, not a nation of men. By this it was meant that the law was to be applied equally among us all. George Washington refused to be named King and would not put himself above the law. Ask yourself, have we abandoned this concept that is so vital to a free Republic?

Do laws even matter anymore? Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis recently appeared in video offering government assistance to illegal immigrants who think they are underpaid. She gave a toll free phone number and promised confidentiality.

Our government has for decades refused to protect our borders. It is so bad today that there is a significant portion of Arizona where the government has posted signs warning that it is too dangerous for We the People. Yet, the government will not enforce the federal immigration regulations. When Arizona writes their own regulation that mirrors the federal regulation, our government threatens to sue Arizona. I guess if you do not believe in God, you have no reason to take your oath of office seriously.

It is my contention that a person who believes in Sanctuary Cities, by definition, cannot believe in the rule of law. I do not want anyone on the United States Supreme Court who does not believe in the rule of law.

Left/Right - Day/Night

Just how far apart are we in the United States? The divide could not be greater.

Just over half of us are passionate about individual freedom and hold as truth that we are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable Rights. Yet, nearly half of this once great nation ardently believes they are entitled to be taken care of by their government. They support the decades old transfer of wealth (socialism) that is taking place at an alarmingly accelerated pace under the Obama Administration.
Some within the entitlement group have no idea that the government has no money. They do not understand that we in the private sector have our money taken from us and transferred to them. They assume it is all “Obama Stash”. Others just don’t care where the money comes from as long as they are on the receiving end.

Sadly, there is another group that I think of as the Super-rich with White Guilt. These elitist are made up of politicians, Harvard trained lawyers and Hollywood celebrities. They make possible the soft slavery of “entitlements.” They claim to do this out of compassion. In truth, they do it to massage their own giant egos. They want the entire world to know how much they care. Of course, this maintains a subservient class to service their life styles. This is not an unintended consequence.

My new book American Revolution 2010 – A Tea Party Patriot’s Call to Arms is a warning for those too busy with their day-to-day lives to be aware of the dangers we are now facing from enemies within our own government. It is written with passion and candor. It is not politically correct or partisan for either political party. The response to my book has been overwhelmingly positive. Of course, with that title, those purchasing the book are not One-World-Order enthusiast. I did, however, send a free copy to a Washington DC liberal lawyer (redundant, I know). His response clearly depicts just how deeply divided we have become. Here is his reply:

“I disagree with just about everything in your book. Seeing subversive plots by people one disagrees with strikes me as paranoid.” He went on to say that he considered me and the Tea Party movement as “profoundly un-American.”

I think that accurately defined our differing views. There is no room for nuance. Our nation’s wealth is being systematically and ravenously consumed. Unless we dramatically reduce government spending, there will be nothing left for those in Washington to steal. No bankrupt nation can long remain sovereign. Perhaps that is the point?

Obama's Tinder Box

I am on the Tea Party Patriots’ Ning Network and a member of 28 TPP Groups on that Network. So, I have my finger on the pulse of Patriots and can tell you the blood pressure is rising.

This building anger is not without sound reasons. The Obama Administration has taken their objective of deliberately inflaming the American people to an art form. Please read my recent Blogs on bharrison1776.com called “Civil Disobedience” and “Let it Burn”.

What prompts this Blog are recent emails and posts from all around the country with the theme of, “They will have to take my guns off my dead body.” Then, last week I had lunch with a friend who was a retired 30-year veteran of law enforcement. When the conversation flowed into the socialist/progressives need to control the flow of communications (net neutrality/fairness doctrine) and securing firearms, my friend replied that he would “go down fighting.”

I pointed out to him that it would not be Rahm Emanuel, Nancy Pelosi or Barack Obama who would come to his door. No, they would send some 23-year old deputy sheriff or a young policewoman and mother of 2 children. I asked, “Are you really going to shoot these people for doing their jobs? What about the grief and anguish this would cause their children, parents and siblings? Don’t you see that what is going on is a deliberate attempt to ignite civil unrest?” He must have thought back over his many years of service as his eyes became moist. He had a friend (fellow officer) who was murdered by a bomb blast back in the radical Bill Ayers (“we didn’t do enough”) days. But, I am sure it was just allergies as my friend is a tough man.

There was understandable awkward moment of silence. Then, he asked, “Well what the hell can we do?” Here is my response to all of you who have just about had it.
I was at the Tax Day Protest in 09 and again this year. I was at the kickoff of the Tea Party Express in 2009 in Sacramento and at the end of its journey in Washington DC. I attended the 9-12 March on Washington and (God willing) will again this year. I have attended most all of the Nevada County, CA Tea Party Patriots’ functions over the past 12 months and a several TPP events outside my local chapter. I went to town halls and confronted politicians. I wrote letters to editors and to members of Congress. I have posted numerous Blogs on TPP sites and others across this country. I even wrote and published a book that chronicles the Tea Party Movement and the peril our country faces from within our own government (American Revolution 2010 – A Tea Party Patriot’s Call to Arms).

Millions of Patriots have done this much and more. Lori Parker founded As A Mom. Mark Meckler, Jenny Beth Martin and a handful of other founders have put their lives on hold while promoting the values of the TPP around the country…without pay. Ginni Thomas just started Liberty Central. Do you think the wife of a Supreme Court Justice, and high powered DC business women in her own right, wasn’t already a tad busy?

We have one shot at stopping the madness before the Obama Administration declares communications like this one seditious. Woodrow Wilson’s administration had U.S. citizens arrested for speaking out against government policies. Do you really think Obama would not do the same?

We will know by the November elections if we can save our Republic at the ballot box. We have precious little time. Please, get involved…NOW! It is literally a matter of life and death.

Civil Disobedience

Last week, the Assistant Secretary of State expressed concern to China for the civil rights violations the Obama Administration expects to happen as a result of Arizona 1070. Thursday, on American soil, the President of Mexico publically chastised Arizona over SB1070. Calderon lectures Arizona in President Obama’s presence and rather than defend Arizona, Obama supported Calderon’s criticisms! Friday, the President of Mexico received a standing ovation from our politicians as he spoke in front of a joint session of Congress and again attacked Arizona. This is despicable! This is infuriating! This is on purpose.

As I understand it, (thanks Charles Krauthammer), anyone caught entering Mexico illegally is subject to a 2 year prison sentence. If caught a second time, it is a
10-year sentence. Now I don’t know this for a fact, but my guess is Mexican prisons do not offer color TV and an exercise gym. There were just under 12,000 people murdered in Mexico in the past two years. How about President Calderon cleaning up his own house!

For two weeks, Obama and his minions, headed by the US Attorney General Holder and Homeland Security Chief Napolitano, have driven a wedge between Americans by going in front of the lapdog media and lamenting about the injustice of SB1070 (which practically mirrors existing Federal law). Now they admit that they never even read SB1070! It is only about 16 pages and they have not read the bill that they have been lambasting for two weeks!

What’s up with all this? The answer is simple and horrible. The reason for all of the constant in-your-face insults to the American people is that the Obama Administration wants to incite civil unrest. That would provide them with the excuse they need to clamp down on the internet, talk radio, Tea Party Movement, etc. It would be done, of course, for the good of the country. They are starting to succeed.

More and more Americans are saying they just can’t take any more of this Administration’s America bashing. There is a clamoring for more direct and immediate reaction via civil disobedience. Every time Obama craped on our friends such as Poland, the U. K. and Israel while bowing and kissing up to our enemies, the American people cringed. Yet, that hasn’t been enough to accomplish the liberal/progressives goals. So now they malign the people of Arizona. Los Angles is boycotting Arizona and Arizona reminds LA that 25% of their electricity is supplied by Arizona. I can almost see that Cheshire cat smile on Obama’s face. This is precisely what the progressives want to happen, state against state, ethnic group vs. ethnic group.

A comment about civil disobedience...we must not to go there, at least until we see what happens with the 2010 elections. The TTP movement has made tremendous strides. Look at Rubio and Paul. One more week and NY23 would have gone conservative. We are not just trading Liberal/Progressives for RINOs. There are a lot of good candidates running for office (black, white, Latino and Asian). I cannot remember such a thing. It is usually vote for this dirtbag or that dirtbag. We have a chance to take back our country at the ballot box. Let's not blow it. Arizona, you can help in a big way by dumping McCain.

If we go to civil disobedience now, the TPP will evaporate faster than a morning fog. All our work will have been for nothing. The Tea Party Movement will go from several million to several thousand almost overnight. The socialist/communist in power in DC know this and will do all they can to instigate or fabricate it.

If we cannot take back the House in 2010 (Senate is also a possibility), we will not be able to wait until 2012. Obama, Soros, etc. will have destroyed our economy and have too large a % of Americans dependent on government handouts. If that happens, and I pray it doesn't, I would be with you on civil disobedience.

Let It Burn

A TPP friend in Austin, TX sent me the May 15, 2010 article from American Thinker with the title "Let it Burn."

The author of this article did indeed make many salient points. I agree with almost everything he/she writes. Basically, it is pointed out that our politicians are like drug dealers and way too many Americans are citizen-addicts. Yes, "endless, ever expanding government programs" has created our "current fiscal nightmare." The argument is made that the economic attitude of the nation has shifted from self-sufficient, individualism to a nation of addicts hooked on politician's false promises of economic security. I agree with this premise and the arguments given in the article to support this position are sound and well presented. His/her writing skills are truly impressive. Who among us active in the Tea Party Movement would not agree with this quote from "Let It Burn."

"For the past hundred years, America has been slowly moving away from the principals of its founding. The ideals of liberty...and the equality of opportunity have been slowly supplanted by calls for security, class warfare, excessive regulation and the equality of outcome."

I wish I could write with such eloquence. So what is my problem with this article?

I most ardently disagree with the author's conclusion and solution, which is, "...America is lost." "Attempts by responsible citizens at reform will be only partially successful, not changing the fundamentals of our dilemma." The author insists that we must allow America to go through the process of "hitting bottom." The article goes on with, "The decline has begun, and now our nation must hit bottom" and admits that "Detoxing America will cause social, political and economic strife of a sort unimaginable, and yet it is a process we must endure."

No, we don't! We must not allow our country to reach this point.

What this American Thinker article suggests is straight out of Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals. It is what Barrack Obama studied and taught as a community organizer. They want to overwhelm the system from within. When our economy collapses, the Obama Administration will come riding to the rescue. With enough people out of work, their families going hungry and homes lost, many will accept anyone as their savior. John Nichols of the communist publication Free Press said, “Hungry people fighting over food don’t usually make real sound decisions.” This is Rahm Emanuel's philosophy on steroids. "You never want a serious crisis to go to waste." The progressives believe that once this transformation occurs, it will be permanent.

However, most Americans will not long endure the loss of their liberties that such false security would bring. We would rise up and destroy the yoke of "soft slavery" that always accompanies government dependency. Once the progressives have us under their authority, they would not easily relinquish control. No rational person would ever want to reach this point. We must not allow this to happen. This is precisely why I wrote the book American Revolution 2010 – A Tea Party Patriot’s Call to Arms.

I equate the 2010 elections to a trauma center. It is where we can stop the financial bleeding and prevent our country from going into shock. Once stabilized, we can then focus on the 2012 elections and rid ourselves of the enemies within. This would mean some would have to break their personal paradigm when it comes to casting votes. We will only prolong the inevitable if we elect RINOS.

“Let it burn” shall not happen! This is a call to action. We Patriots must once again stand together and mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

Political Hubris

Here are the numbers as best as I can determine on Sunday morning, March 21, 2010.
Opposed to the Health Care Bill: Democrats 23% Republicans 88% Independents 53%
Those in favor try to skewer the figures when appearing on talk shows by saying 72% of Americans approve of health care reform. Well of course we do. That is not the same as supporting this horrific bill. The President holds press conferences surrounded by people wearing lab coats and claims that doctors favor his bill. The reality is that according to a poll by Investor’s Business Daily, 45% of doctors in this country would seriously consider leaving their practice or retiring early if the bill was passed.

All rhetoric aside, let us just use common sense and logic. The post office is bleeding money and wants to stop Saturday delivery. The war on drugs has not worked. The war on poverty has led to generational dependence on welfare. Social Security is going broke. Medicare is going broke even before the $523 billion this bill will take away from it. Yet, we are asked to believe that this 2,700 page bill will be different. With the IRS as the enforcement arm, how can this not be a disaster?

From March 5, 2009 thru March 11, 2010, President Obama delivered at least 52 public speeches or statements on the health care plan. Yet, the last time a Rasmussen Poll showed support for the health care bill was June 26-28, 2009. Clearly, the more the President spoke and the more the voters learned about the bill, the less likely they became to support it. According to a recent NBC News/WSJ survey, 90% of people who were undecided about the health care bill in April 2009 opposed the bill by March of 2010.

So, why did the politicians make it law? The progressive/liberal politicians simply do not care what we, the productive citizens of the United States, think about this issue. They have a Socialist agenda and they are going to fundamentally transform America while they have the numbers to do it.

Rep. Alcee Hastings (D. Florida) on the House Rules Committee said it best. “Rules, we make them up as we go along.” However, for in-our-face candor, how about this recent statement from Rep. Tom Perriello (D. VA)? “…if you don’t tie our hands, we will keep stealing.”

Even back in 2007 when unemployment was at near record lows, 1 in 5 Americans held government jobs. That percentage increased dramatically in 2009 and Government is by far the nation’s largest employer. The Obama administration is diligent at suppressing private sector jobs while edging up government jobs. Government jobs and government assistance equates to government dependency. The people who think this health care bill is a good idea need take heed to what Margret Thatcher once said. “The problem with Socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.”

Progressives, both Democrats and RINOS, laugh and smirk now. A November Massacre is coming!
