Stacking the Deck Obama Style?

Did you know about two “devout Muslims” being appointed by Janet Napolitano to key positions within the Department of Homeland Security? I didn’t, until this morning when a friend asked me about it.
In May of this year, Mr. Arif Alikham was appointed Assistant Secretary for Policy Development at DHS. Last June, Mr. Kareem Shora was sworn-in as Senior Policy Adviser for the DHS. I admit that I am not a news junkie, but I missed these appointments. What could these two men possibly have in common? They both are on record as having strong objections to the policies of the DHS under the Bush Administration…you know, the ones that worked and kept us safe from attack.
Damascus-born Shora was, for 10 years, the National Executive Director of American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC with 38 chapters and members in all 50 states). You can look up this organization for yourself but think ACLU for Muslims. They do not consider Hamas or Hezbollah terrorist organizations. The ADC takes an openly anti-Israel line accusing the Jewish state of “apartheid” against Palestinians.
Actually, I do not have specific concerns with Mr. Alikham, who was Deputy Mayor of Los Angles. To me, being Muslim is neither reason to be appointed to DHS nor a reason not to be appointed. So, I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt. But when you consider the caliber of people in the Obama Administration (see my blog Obama’s Dream Team), it is difficult to hold back cynicism.
Remember, President Obama is strongly opposed to a congressional investigation into the terrorist murder of 13 people at Fort Hood by Nidal Hasan. The President said he wanted justice, “not political stagecraft.” Of course, he is fully in favor of putting 5 of the Gitmo terrorists on trial in New York City where it will cost perhaps 100 million dollars and give these Muslim lunatics a world stage upon which to broadcast their venom. President Obama’s hypocrisy is shameful.

Hoax Myth Scam

We have all been given a gift. The curtain has been pulled back to expose the manmade global warming hoax. It isn’t a pretty sight.
They say to always follow the money. When Al Gore, former U. S. vice-president and current chairman of Generation Investment Management, made a zillion dollars over the past 9 years, won a Nobel Peace Prize and an Oscar for a bogus propaganda movie that was made mandatory viewing in many of our socialist public schools, we should have at least been suspicious.
After MSNBC (owned by General Electric) openly promoted Barrack Obama for president during the 2008 campaign, it came as no surprise that GE chairman Jeffrey Immelt was appointed to the White House Economic Recovery Advisory Board last February. It is also no coincidence that GE aggressively promotes the Cap & Trade bill as GE stands to make several billion dollars if it becomes law. It is not difficult, then, to understand why MSNBC supports Cap & Trade and ignores Climategate.
Earlier this month, hackers broke into the computers of the world-renowned Hadley Institute. This is a British government-funded institution which has been widely regarded as preeminent in the field of global warming research. Released emails disclosed that the institute manipulated data and suppressed any evidence that contradicted their agenda.
Never mind that the earth has been undergoing climate cooling for the past 11 years. That is just an inconvenient truth that the global warming alarmist industry chooses to ignore or suppress. Yes, Al; there are more polar bears today than a decade ago.
Recently, under intense questioning by BBC reporter Stephen Sackur (I could do an entire blog on the death of journalism in the U. S.), Gerd Leipold (Executive Director Greenpeace Ltd,) admitted Greenpeace issued inaccurate information when they claimed Arctic Ice would disappear by 2030. He justified the release of inaccurate and inflammatory information by saying that it is the organizations practice of “emotionalizing issues” in order to alter public opinion.
We can understand why people like Gore and Immelt would propagate the manmade global warming myth. But what is the motivation for such egregious behavior by so called scientists? It is the same for them…money. Since 1990, it is reported that over 25 billion dollars in government funding has been spent on global warming. If scientists and researchers came out with reports that all global climate change is cyclic and not manmade, the money for such research would immediately dry up.
Even with Climategate, President Obama vowed to go to Copenhagen and offer to cut US carbon emissions by 17% from 2005 levels by 2020.
Perhaps this scam would almost be comical if the consequences were not so devastating. An entire generation of children fears the world is coming to an end. We have double digit unemployment and the Cap & Trade bill would ensure double dip recession if not a full out depression. It is way past time to reject environmental terrorism.

NY 23, A Lesson Learned?

For the special election in NY 23, the inside the beltway elitists who run the National Republican Party gave their endorsement and $900,000 to elect a RINO more liberal than even the Democrat candidate. Conservatives from all over the country made our position clear. We want no more RINOS! Yet, Senator Boehner, Newt Gingrich, Michael Steele and their ilk insisted they knew what was best for us. The NRCC even ran campaign ads against Doug Hoffman, the conservative.

Until a few days before the election, most people did not believe Hoffman had a chance to win. That wasn’t the point for most of us. We wanted to send the GOP a clear message. Purge the RINOS. Yet, in one month, Hoffman went from zero name recognition and single digit support to within 2 points of being elected to congress.

The NY 23 special election exposed the hypocrisy of the GOP leadership. They solicit funds from conservatives by criticizing liberal Democrats and then use that money to support leftist with an R behind their names.

We owe Doug Hoffman a debit of gratitude.
